- Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents or a joint applicant with someone who is.
- Permanent Australian residents who are New Zealand citizens with special category visas can apply.
- You or your spouse must not have already received a first home owner grant anywhere in Australia.
- The property cannot be used for investment purposes.
- You cannot have previously owned property in Australia.
